Since you have navigated to this page on our website, we assume that you are a candidate for a safety-related position and that you will be visiting our office for a pre-employment psychological interview. We would like to give you some important information. This is to help you locate the office and plan for the evaluation. This section of the site should also give you some idea of what to expect, what to bring, and some do's and don'ts regarding the evaluation.

We are looking forward to your visit and hope you will be comfortable during your appointment. You should expect to take different kinds of tests and fill out questionnaires. Bringing a resume should be helpful to you, as one of the questionnares asks for your complete adult work history. You will also have a face-to-face interview with a public safety psychologist during your visit. You do not need to prepare yourself or study for these activities; however, it is helpful if you come to the interview rested and relaxed.

We ask that all candidates bring a signed copy of this form. The linked form contains more detailed information about the evaluation, as well as a map and directions to our office. It is also very important that you arrive at or prior to your scheduled appointment time. If you forget or lose the instructions or want further help, you can call the main office phone (770-431-6858). Important: Please do not call the office staff for directions unless you are lost the morning of the appointment and have exhausted all other options, are running late, or if you have to cancel at the last minute due to an emergency. We are very busy in the morning and prefer not to have to give directions over the phone.

PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE OFFICE TO SET UP, CANCEL, OR CHANGE AN APPOINTMENT (other than for last minute emergency cancellations). Psychological Dimensions makes arrangements for appointments with employers, in most cases the agency applied for. Except for applicants to certain federal law enforcement agencies and police academies, we cannot make any scheduling arrangements directly with candidates. Therefore, if you are uncertain about whether you have an appointment, want to reconfirm, change an appointment, or cancel an appointment, please make these arrangements through your contact person in the agency for which you are applying.
